Today’s video is about when you get started or started again, haha. I know as well as all of the other fitness pros know that if you stop working out for a duration of time you have to start over.
Better said, you need to do an assessment of where you are and go from there. More than likely you will need to start at a lower level than where you were from before. This is okay and don’t be down on yourself for restarting and/or restarting at a lower level than what you where at from before. Don’t be that guy who may have lifted 300lbs sets ten years ago trying to do the same set of sets now. Because that guy would be rolling full steam to an injury.
Take it slow and easy do your stretching and stay focused. Do not, I repeat do not do any ego lifting. That will also cause you to injure yourself. Don’t mind yourself looking stupid. Take pen and paper to the gym when you go so that you can track your sets and your calories and all of that, that you want to track. If you have a fitness tracker watch you can use that as well. Whatever your watch don’t do write it down and track it the old fashion way, haha.
I am going to close with, you can do it. No matter what your fitness goals are I am going to dare say that you can do it. Sometimes it is best to take your doctor’s advice and I would recommend this. However, people in general don’t know what you can do. For these people I am saying don’t listen to them. I am saying listen to yourself. Okay. Stay strong, stay focused, and stay motivated. Remember that you can work out at home as well.
